How do I sign up?
STEP 1 – Make sure you are eligible
- YES – I use one of the programs listed above
STEP 2 – Make sure you are listed with Medical-Objects
- If YES, go to Step 3
- Not sure? Search for your name on the Provider Map
- Not on the map? Complete their Receive Only Set-up Form and submit to Medical Objects (DO NOT submit to RN Labs).
*TIP: If you have multiple provider numbers, make sure you enter the provider number that you use with your practice software
*NOTE: Listing yourself with Medical-Objects involves downloading the Medical-Objects software. You can read more about what to expect in the FAQs below.
STEP 3 – Complete RN Lab’s Sign-up form below
- Once you have submitted the RN Labs form below, please allow 1-3 business days to start receiving your patient results direct to your practice software.
*Please do not complete RN Lab’s form unless you are already listed with Medical Objects (see Step 2)
*Please be aware RN Labs charge a $20 set-up fee

What is Medical Objects?
The Medical-Objects Secure Messaging download client is a software program that allows you to receive results directly and securely into your practice software. Medical-Objects does not charge clinics to download the software & receive reports. You can read more by visiting their website.
What happens after I list myself with Medical-Objects?
Medical Objects software will need to be installed in your clinic to enable automatic output of results to your practice software.
Medical-Objects provide free of charge remote installs – once you have sent them your Receive Only Set-Up Form, they will call you within 1-3 business days to arrange installation.
Important Requirement:
Medical-Objects software is a windows application, therefore the practice must have at least one Windows computer to enable installation. In some cases it can run on a MAC computer either with an integrated practice software (for example Genie) or using a Windows Virtual Machine. Why is the software I use not eligible?
Only programs that can import files in ‘HL7‘ or ‘PIT‘ are able to automatically retrieve results.
(You may choose to contact your practice software provider directly to request they “enable HL7 or PIT retrieval” in a future version).
I use a different software than the ones you listed, but I do have Medical-Objects installed
You can have PDF reports arrive to Medical Objects (and not be forwarded to practice software) if you choose. However RN Labs already have a Test Result Portal and email service for sending PDF reports.
I have Medical-Objects installed but need to add a new practitioner
Simply complete the Receive Only Set-up Form and send to Medical-Objects.
Will this affect results going to my testing portal?
Results will continue to be uploaded to your portal and emailed to you as usual. This is an additional service for those who find it more convenient to have results also arrive directly to their practice software.
Please be aware, you may get the test result notification from the test result portal 1-2 days before you receive the result to your clinic software.
Why does RN Labs charge a set-up fee?
The fee is an administration fee due to the additional time to send these results. RN Labs have chosen to charge a fee to ensure that only those who will actively benefit for the service sign up.
Can I sign up and then change my mind if the service is not what I expected?
Yes, you can opt-out of the service at any time. If you have opted out within 3 months of signing up we will refund your sign-up fee.
Why can’t RN Labs guarantee the service?
Please be aware there are many factors that are involved in sending and receiving results using this technology.
You may experience result retrieval issues to begin with, which can be identified by us immediately after sending your first report. If this happens, Medical-Objects may contact you to assist with any tweaks that may be needed to your software to enable successful result retrieval. If you experience retrieval issues that cannot be resolved, RN Labs will offer you a full refund.
